Who does not want thicker and longer hair? Hair loss is a common problem these days because of which hair becomes thin.

Several myths are prevalent in people to attain thick hair. Some of them are:

Myth: Too much washing leads to hair fall.
Fact: Excessive washing does not cause hair fall.

Myth: Brushing too much can make you bald.
Fact: Excessive brushing does not lead to hair loss. It improves the blood circulation.

Myth: Wearing hats regularly can lead to baldness.
Fact: Hats do not cause hair loss. Even wigs don’t result in baldness.

Myth: Washing the hair with too hot water cleans the hair better.
Fact: Use of too much hot or cold water is harmful for hair.

 

Home remedies for Thick Hair:

Massage with olive oil on the hair and scalp is a good home remedy for thick hair. It can be kept overnight and washed off in the morning with a mild shampoo. Olive oil not only thickens the hair, but also makes them strong.

Rubbing onions on the scalp helps in preventing hair loss and also promotes the blood circulation.

Aloe Vera is known to be an effective home remedy for thick hair. Aloe Vera gel should be applied on the scalp. A combination of Aloe Vera gel and an egg can also prevent hair fall.

Diluted apple cider vinegar can be used for the final rinse of the hair to help in getting thick hair.

Honey is an age old home remedy for healthy and shiny hair. Honey can be mixed with egg and massage on the scalp and hair for thick hair.

A mixture of castor oil and almond oil should be massaged over on the scalp and hair for a week regularly for prevention of hair loss. It can be kept for 2-3 hours and then wash off.

Application of juice made from coriander leaves promotes hair growth and results in thick hair.

A paste of olive oil, honey and cinnamon powder should be massaged on the hair and scalp. This should be left for half an hour before the bath and then rinse off.

Coconut milk is also known to nourish the hair.

Boil a few pieces of amla (Indian Gooseberry) in coconut oil and castor oil. The mixture should be massaged on the scalp and hair for thick hair.

Mix equal quantities of mayonnaise, tomato and aloe vera gel. All the three ingredients should be blended in a blender to form a thick paste. The paste should be applied on the scalp overnight. The head can be covered with a shower cap. Rinse well next morning. This is an effective and trusted home remedy for thick hair.
