Drink plenty of fluids to prevent dehydration.

Apple cider vinegar is also beneficial to maintain the intestinal health. Diluted apple cider vinegar should be taken four to five times daily to cure food poisoning.
Basil leaves are also known to provide relief from nausea and vomiting. Chewing few leaves of holy basil can help to treat the vomiting sensations caused due to food poisoning.
Mint leaves prevent the acid formation. A few leaves of fresh mint can work well for the treatment of food poisoning.
Eating bread is an effective home remedy for food poisoning as it soaks up the acid in the stomach.
Garlic has antibiotic properties. Use of garlic can helps to kill the bacteria. Fresh cloves of garlic should be taken along with warm water to relieve the inflammation.
A mixture made up of lemon juice, ginger juice and pepper powder should be mixed in water and taken twice daily for curing food poisoning.
Grated papaya should be boiled in water and strained mixture should be consumed several times daily.

Physical activities should be avoided for getting quick relief from food poisoning. The patient must have a bed rest till the condition gets better.
