It is important to treat the boils to avoid complications. There are several home remedies for boils. Garlic and onion are useful in treatment of boils. The juices of these two vegetables should be mixed in equal quantities and applied on the affected area. Eating one or two pods of garlic can also help in healing boils. Milk cream is also useful to cure boils. One teaspoon of milk cream should be mixed along with half teaspoon of vinegar and a pinch of turmeric powder helps in the healing of boils without making them septic.

Cumin seeds are also known to have effect of curing boils. A fine paste of cumin seeds should be applied on the affected areas. Turmeric possesses antibiotic properties. Turmeric roots can be powdered and boiled in water. The paste should be applied on the boils which will heal them faster. Bitter gourd also provides fast relief from boils and also increases the immunity system of the body. Using margosa leaves is also effective to treat the boils. They can be used as decoction or poultice. To make the decoction, 15 gm of margosa leaves should be boiled in 500 ml of water till it is reduced by one-third. Another useful remedy to treat boils is to use neem leaves. 15 to 20 neem leaves should be boiled in half liter of water. Continue boiling the mixture until the volume reduces to one of third of the original volume. Then allow the mixture to cool down and then gently apply the solution on the boils.

Alcoholic beverages and smoking should strictly be avoided in order to get rid of boils. Parsley leaves are also effective in treating boils. Boil the parsley till it becomes soft. Apply it on the boils and cover with a white clean cloth. Betel leaves are a good natural remedy for treatment of boils. A betel leaf should be gently warmed and then be coated with castor oil. The oiled leaf should be spread over the boiled part. The leaf should be replaced after each hour. The boil will rupture after some applications and will drain out pus from it.
